ATEX Certified Gearboxes

Tramec offers to the market ATEX Group II 11 types of gearboxes. Letter A is placed before the standard designation give in the general catalogue Tramec as an indication of the technical changes the gearboxes was subject to in order to make it compliant with Directive 2014/34 EC and therefore certified to work in a potentially explosive environment. The technical data can be found in the catalogue ATEX category 2, the dimensional drawings and relative tables can be found in the general catalogue Tramec.

All Tramec gearboxes series AT, AZ, AP, AM, AR, AX, AK, AH are designed and manufactured in compliance with the Essential Health and Safety Requirements Annex II of the ATEX Directive 2014/34 and are classified as equipment belonging to Group II, CATEGORY 2G and 2D (G for gas and D dusts).

Temperature class is T4 for gas and 130° for dusts. Zone 1 – 2 – 21 – 22.

All gearboxes in this category are intended for industrial use and ambient temperature between a minimum of ‐20°C and a maximum of +40°C and can be used with the only input speed lower or equal to 1400rpm.
